Crown Prince Congratulates Iran’s President on Iranian National Day
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi on the occasion of the Iranian National Day, reported Saudi Press Agency.
The Crown Prince expressed his best wishes and sincerest hopes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Iran.
It is worthy to mention that the Iranian National Day is celebrated on Feb 11 every year.
Saudi-Iranian Relations
At the outset of 2024, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, according to Al Arabiya. The two ministers discussed Saudi-Iranian relations and ways to develop them in various fields.
They also discussed the developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier Saudi-Iranian Meetings
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdullahian a while ago.
They met on the sidelines of the high-level event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest updates on the situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.
The ministers stressed that it is very important for the international community to play its role to achieve a ceasefire and protect civilians.
Moreover, they displayed ways to enhance Saudi-Iranian relations and discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
The Crown Prince welcomed the President of Iran on the sidelines of the remarkable Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh.
The Crown Prince received various leaders and heads of delegations attending the Summit. This underscores Riyadh’s diplomatic role.
On behalf of King Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chaired the Summit.
