AlUla Peregrina Showcases Heritage, Sustainable Growth at Peregrina Season 2025

AlUla Peregrina has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Peregrina Season, taking place December 11–13, 2025, at the AlUla Farmers Market. The event will spotlight the region’s deep-rooted agricultural traditions and the cultural significance of the Peregrina (Moringa Peregrina) tree—an enduring desert species celebrated for its cosmetic, nutritional, and therapeutic qualities.
Cultivated in AlUla for centuries, the Peregrina tree remains an essential source of livelihood for local communities. Additionally, its remarkable ability to thrive in arid conditions, coupled with the high value of its natural oil in beauty and wellness applications, positions it as a promising driver of regional economic development.
Eng. Abobakar Alanazi, Chairman of the Board and CEO of AlUla Peregrina, emphasized, “AlUla Peregrina is a true reflection of AlUla’s identity and the deep connection between the land and its people. Peregrina Season gives us a platform to highlight the expanding possibilities of desert-born natural resources for both local and global cosmetics industries.”

Moreover, the company noted that this initiative aligns with its ongoing efforts to strengthen the local agricultural economy, enhance community inclusion, and support income diversification across AlUla. AlUla Peregrina continues to work toward establishing the first fully sustainable value chain centered on the Peregrina tree, unlocking new opportunities in global markets.
