Albudaiwi: Treacherous Iranian Attacks on GCC States Are Unacceptable, Unjustified

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks targeting GCC member states, describing them as treacherous and entirely unjustifiable.

He stated that these assaults have struck civilian and diplomatic sites, most recently the United States embassies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, in blatant violation of international law and United Nations conventions safeguarding diplomatic missions. He also cited direct attacks on civilian and residential areas in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and the State of Qatar.

Albudaiwi stressed that these actions, along with what he described as Iran’s unlawful and unwarranted escalation, demonstrate hostile intentions toward GCC countries and a continued effort to destabilize regional and global security.

He affirmed that attacks on GCC territories are unacceptable under any circumstances and called on Iran to immediately halt its aggression. He also reiterated the unwavering solidarity of all GCC member states, emphasizing their united stance in defending their sovereignty, security, and national interests.
