Al Jaber Displays Saudi Aid to Yemen to EU Ambassadors
The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and Supervisor General of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber met with the ambassadors of the European Union to the Kingdom yesterday in Riyadh. During the meeting, they reviewed the Saudi aid to Yemen and Kingdom’s political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian efforts to support the Republic of Yemen. Moreover, they discussed supporting the efforts of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to reach a comprehensive and permanent political solution in Yemen.
Saudi Medical Aid to Yemen
The prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation center in Taizz Governorate provided its various medical services to 410 Yemeni patients who lost their limbs in January 2024. This was supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, reported Saudi Press Agency.
During the project, 1,688 services were provided. Males constituted 64% of the beneficiaries while females represented 36%. Displaced individuals accounted for 10% and residents 90% of the those who benefited from the center.
Saudi Aid to Yemen: Water Project
In the heart of Yemen’s Hadhramaut governorate, a significant initiative has taken root. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has embarked on a project to construct a water reservoir in the Al-Soum directorate. This project, announced on February 22, 2024, is a beacon of hope for the local community, promising to bring much-needed relief and stability.
Saudi Aid to Yemen: Clearing Mines
The ongoing conflict in Yemen has left behind a dangerous legacy of landmines and unexploded ordnance. A Saudi-led project Masam has made a substantial impact by clearing 768 Houthi mines in various regions of Yemen. This initiative reflects a commitment to peace and safety. It also highlights the broader challenges and humanitarian efforts in the region.
