As part of preparations to receive pilgrims arriving from Iraq, Eng. Badr Aldulami, Acting CEO of the Roads General Authority, conducted an inspection of the road network in the Al-Jouf and Northern Borders regions. The visit focused on evaluating the quality of roads and projects utilized by pilgrims, as well as assessing the overall level of service provided.
To support a smooth and efficient pilgrimage experience, the Kingdom has upgraded its road infrastructure with advanced technologies. These include a specialized fleet for road surveying and assessment, precision paint measurement systems, and increased deployment of drone technology. Additionally, the use of modern road layer recycling equipment is helping accelerate maintenance and development efforts along key pilgrimage routes.
