A Saudi Student has Discovered a Security Gap in YouTube

Humoud Al Halamani, a Computer Since and IT student at Om Al Qura University, has recently discovered a security gap on YouTube, the popular video website.

He got praised by Google, the owner company of YouTube, and gave him an honoring ceremony for his efforts and intelligence.

Al Halamany said in a TV interview: “the security gap in YouTube enables others to retrieve the personal data of the user without his permeation.” And he added: “it is very critical information, and I can’t release the details since it’s confidential.”

He also mentioned that he started his passion in the field of computers since and IT since he was a teenager. At that time, he published a website, and it got hacked by someone. After that, he started to learn and develop his skills in that field and especially the area of security gaps.

He also warns the people of using general WiFi networks. Humoud said that using such a network will leave your personal data exposed to be easily hacked. The better way is to use a privet network and keeping the security procedures updated.

He also has discovered many security gaps in different websites of many universities as well as SAB Construction website.
