Jeddah Prepares for Its First F1H2O World Championship

Obhur Corniche in Jeddah has been transformed into a bustling hub of activity as preparations intensify for the F1H2O UIM World Championship, held in conjunction with the inaugural Jeddah Grand Prix 2025. Around 10 international teams are taking part, bringing a fleet of 20 high-performance powerboats to compete in this landmark event.

Maintenance crews are actively lifting and transporting the advanced powerboats for detailed mechanical checks, while technical teams work to ensure the engines and navigation systems are fully race-ready. Moreover, the championship venue at Obhur Corniche features dedicated jetties, maintenance zones, and spectator platforms offering unobstructed views of the sea circuit.

The official program kicks off today with free practice sessions, followed by qualifying rounds and speed races. The event will conclude on Saturday with the Jeddah Grand Prix 2025 Main Race and the awards ceremony.

Bringing this championship to Jeddah as part of Jeddah Season 2025 highlights the city’s rising stature in global marine sports and reinforces the Kingdom’s expanding role in hosting world-class events—boosting tourism, driving economic growth, and enriching entertainment offerings for motorsport fans.
