Riyadh Season 2025: Giant Balloons to Dominate Skies in Opening Ceremony
Giant balloons and a global parade are set to dazzle Saudi Arabia’s capital on Friday, October 10, at the opening ceremony of Riyadh Season 2025.
The Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Al al-Sheikh, revealed that the sixth edition of Riyadh Season will kick off with a spectacular opening parade, setting off from the Kingdom Arena to Boulevard World with international shows and breathtaking performances.
The New York iconic Macy’s balloons will make their international debut in Riyadh, stunning audiences with colorful and vibrant displays across the Saudi capital’s skies, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Riyadh Season opening parade will include roaming artistic and acrobatic performances featuring local and international troupes, in addition to giant balloons and iconic characters making their first appearance in Saudi Arabia.
The opening ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm. Entry is free for all visitors to enjoy an exceptionally immersive experience and joyful festive vibes. The parade will feature dancing, floats and music, creating a lively atmosphere across Riyadh’s streets.

This one-of-a-kind parade underscores Riyadh Season’s status as a leading entertainment destination, blending local creativity with global experiences, cementing Riyadh’s position on the international entertainment map, GEA’s Chairman said.
Riyadh Season 2025 will feature 11 entertainment zones, hosting 15 global championships and 34 exhibitions and festivals. It will introduce brand-new zones and experiences, including Beast Land, Boulevard Flowers, Jewelry Salon 2025, Flying over Saudi and Aroya Cruise.
Moreover, new zones for Kuwait, South Korea and Indonesia will open at Boulevard World.
