MODON, Albaddad Saudi Holding Sign Contracts for 2 Industrial Complexes

In the presence of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) signed two contracts to build industrial complexes in Makkah Second Industrial City and Al-Kharj, with investments over two billion Saudi Riyals.

The two contracts were signed by the CEO of “Modon,” Eng. Majed bin Rafed Al-Argobi, and the CEO of Al-Baddad Saudi Holding Company, Mr. Zayed bin Hussein Al-Baddad, in the presence of the company’s Chairman of the Board, Dr. Al-Fateen bin Hussein Al-Baddad.
Mecca’s Second Industrial City
The industrial complex in Mecca’s Second Industrial City spans over 1.3 million square meters and plans to invest 1.75 billion riyals in specialized industries using advanced manufacturing technologies. Moreover, it includes ready-made and prefabricated buildings, creating 5,000 jobs and boosting national exports. With up to 60% of its production aimed at export. It targets markets in Africa, Europe, the Americas, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.

Accompanying this, “Modon” is launching several development projects in the Second Industrial City in Mecca, covering an area exceeding 4.3 million square meters. These projects aim to establish an integrated infrastructure, enhanced by essential services and innovative products. Additionally, a substation with a capacity of 200 MVA will be inaugurated to create a competitive industrial environment that promotes growth and sustainability opportunities.
Al-Kharj Industrial City

The industrial complex in the Al-Kharj Industrial City, covering an area of more than 307,000 square meters with investments amounting to 375 million riyals. It provides approximately 1,000 job opportunities supporting construction projects, as well as the exhibition, sports, cultural, and entertainment industries. It also aims to strengthen the production of iron, aluminum, glass, and PVC fabric industries, with an export target of around 60% of its production capacity to Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar.
