Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina won the first place award as the best regional airport in the Middle East during the Skytrax World Airport Awards ceremony held in Frankfurt, Germany.
This achievement confirms Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport’s commitment to quality services in providing a distinctive travel experience for passengers. It further strengthens its position as one of the best airports in the world, after advancing two places and ranking 50th on the list of the 100 best airports in the world.
On this occasion, the CEO of Taiba Airport Operating Company, Engineer Sufyan Abdel Salam, confirmed that the city’s airport receiving the Skytrax International Airport Award and customers voting for it as the best regional airport in the Middle East reflect the efforts of the employees of Taiba Airport Operating Company.
Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport won the first place award as the best regional airport in the Middle East for the year 2020 and 2021, respectively, according to the Skytrax classification. In addition, the airport received a number of international and local awards and recognitions that made it among the best international airports.
Skytrax is one of the most prominent awards in the airport sector. Customers take part in its voting which includes the largest annual airport customer satisfaction survey. More than 550 airports around the world always participate.
