Saudi Foreign Minister Embarks on Official Visit to China

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Beijing on Tuesday morning, as part of an official visit to China, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the visit, Prince Faisal will hold a series of meetings with senior Chinese government officials to discuss bilateral relations and explore various regional and international issues of mutual interest.

According to a Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, the Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit is scheduled from June 30 to July 1, 2026.

The trip comes at the formal invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who also serves as a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

The visit follows a written message Prince Faisal received from his Chinese counterpart in mid-June regarding bilateral ties between Riyadh and Beijing.

Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji received the message during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom Chang Hua in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During that meeting, the two officials reviewed relations between both countries and discussed the latest regional and international developments.
