70,000 International Students Study in Saudi Arabia

 Director of the Educational Visa Initiative Sami Al-Hissouni revealed that more than 70,000 international students are studying in Saudi Arabia through various educational programs offered by public and private universities across the country. He noted that the Kingdom has contributed to the graduation of more than 140 international students from more than 160 nationalities, reported Al Arabiya.

In his conversation with “Alarabiya.net,” he mentioned that the educational visa is one of the initiatives of the Human Capacity Development Program and one of Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs. It aims to elevate the ranking of Saudi universities and enhance the competitiveness of education, while also increasing the country’s contribution to spreading knowledge and teaching the Arabic language.

Educational Visas in KSA

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have launched the service of issuing educational visas on the “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform for international students wishing to study in the Kingdom. This was announced in the presence of the Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan.

The services provided by the “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform facilitate educational options for students wishing to study in Saudi Arabia. It enhances the Kingdom’s role as a global educational destination.

Moreover, the platform enables international students to easily apply to Saudi universities. It provides short-term and long-term academic, training, and research programs within an exceptional and modern educational environment.

The “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform enhances academic and cultural cooperation and enhances the Kingdom’s commitment to developing the education sector and attracting talent and skill.

This initiative is also part of the Human Capability Initiative conference which took place in Riyadh from February 28 to 29, 2024, under the generous sponsorship of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The launch of the “educational visa” service aims to simplify procedures for students wishing to study in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, it aims to achieve integration between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and related sectors.
