World Golf Stars to Take Part in 2024 Saudi Open Golf Championship

LIV Golf star Henrik Stenson, joined by 5 of his teammates, and a number of DP Tour stars, including 4-time winner Rafael Cabrera-Bello will take part in the 2024 Saudi Open Golf Championship. Public Investment Fund will organize the championship from April 17 to 20 with a battalion of stars.

The eighth edition took place in December 2023 in its ninth year, reported by Ajel.SA.

The last edition, presented by the Public Investment Fund in December 2023 was the first time that the tournament appeared as an all-Asian event. The Thai star Denwit Boriboonsub won the tournament with 3 shots ahead of Stenson, winner of the 2016 Open Championship.

It is expected that the tournament will continue its success in this edition as well. Golf fans will once again have the opportunity to see the stars of LIV Golf, especially with the joining of Andy Ogletree, Peter Ohlin, David Puig and Eugenio Chacarra. David Puig will also join Stinson, captain of the Mavericks team and his former European Ryder Cup teammate Cabrero Bello in Riyadh tour.

Puig, who won the season-opening Malaysian Open, currently leads the Asian Tour Order of Merit, ahead of second-placed John Catlin of the United States.

DP World Tour stars and former European Ryder Cup players Rafael Cabrera-Bello and Thorbjörn Olesen will also attend, as Saudi Golf once again continues its commitment to ensuring opportunities for all. It called on local Saudi and Arab golfers to compete in the tournament.

The current round of 2024 Saudi Open Golf Championship is expected to witness strong competition, as the winner of the 2016 tournament, Stinson, finished second in the final round with a score of 65 in the last round last December, and he is determined to do better and lift the cup this time.
