WDS 2026: SAMI Showcases Transformation in Saudi Arabia’s Defense Industries
Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) is taking part in the 2026 edition of the World Defense Show (WDS 2026) in Riyadh, highlighting the impressive transformation in the Kingdom’s defense industry.
For the third consecutive year, SAMI is participating as the national strategic partner of the WDS, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), according to a press release.
Running from February 8-12, the WDS 2026 will showcase cutting-edge innovations across air, land, sea, space, and security domains. Under the theme “The Future of Defense Integration,” the event will serve as a platform for industry stakeholder to network and share expertise.
At the WDS 2026, SAMI will display over 60 national products and capabilities, including advanced electronics, land systems, aerospace capabilities, command-and-control systems, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions for various platforms.
Furthermore, it will debut new national systems that stand among the most significant advancements in modern defense, underscoring the accelerated progress of the Kingdom’s defense industrial localization, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Moreover, SAMI’s pavilion will host 12 high-level panels and 16 specialized industry sessions featuring the company’s senior leadership and technical experts to highlight SAMI’s pivotal role in driving Saudi Arabia’s future in defense systems, advanced manufacturing, and emerging technologies.
SAMI’s participation in the WDS 2026 underscores its leading role in advancing the Kingdom’s defense sector. It also stresses the company’s firm commitment to driving sectoral transformation and localizing military expenditures in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at fostering advanced, long-term defense capabilities.
