Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed ElKhereiji took part on Thursday in the meeting of the Palestine Donor Group, co-chaired by the European Union and the State of Palestine, at the EU headquarters in Brussels.
In his address, ElKhereiji reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to collaborating with international partners to help fulfill the Palestinian people’s aspirations for an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He noted that the meeting comes at a critical juncture following the Gaza ceasefire and the UN Security Council’s adoption of the comprehensive peace plan proposed by the United States in Resolution 2803—an important step toward reducing human suffering and advancing a political process grounded in the two-state solution.
ElKhereiji highlighted the Kingdom’s launch of the Emergency Alliance to Support the Financial Stability of the Palestinian Authority, in cooperation with Spain, Norway, France, and several international partners.
Moreover, the initiative aims to help the Palestinian Authority serve its people and maintain the continuity of essential institutions. He reiterated the Kingdom’s call for the immediate release of Palestinian tax revenues and an end to all coercive measures imposed by Israel against the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian people.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian private sector as part of efforts to integrate all Palestinian institutions in the occupied territory under a unified framework led by the Palestinian Authority.

ElKhereiji affirmed the Kingdom’s strong support for the work of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), underscoring the need to preserve its central role and avoid parallel processes that could fragment or weaken international efforts.
He further expressed the Kingdom’s full support for the comprehensive Gaza reconstruction plan proposed by Egypt in cooperation with the State of Palestine and coordinated with the World Bank—a plan endorsed by the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the European Union, and numerous other countries.
ElKhereiji emphasized that early recovery and reconstruction require a stable environment, a comprehensive and lasting cessation of violence, and full protection for the Palestinian people. He also condemned the recent settler attacks in the West Bank and cautioned against the rise of extremism and terrorism, which jeopardize all efforts toward peace and de-escalation.
The vice minister concluded by underscoring the need for a complete Israeli military withdrawal from the Gaza Strip to enable reconstruction and the deployment of an international stabilization force. He highlighted the importance of training and empowering the Palestinian police as a key component of any effective security strategy, praising the European Union’s role as well as the contributions of Egypt and Jordan in bolstering the capacity of Palestinian security forces.
The meeting was also attended by Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Manal Radwan.
