The Saudi Heritage Commission is taking part in the sixth edition of Turathna Exhibition, running from December 12-21, 2024, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Through its pavilion, the Saudi Heritage Commission is exhibiting a diverse range of handicrafts and heritage arts products that showcase the Saudi national heritage and highlight the Kingdom’s cultural identity. Moreover, Saudi artisans, participating from across the Kingdom’s regions, deliver a live show that displays their unparalleled skills and unique products.
The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, on Thursday inaugurated Turathna Expo 2024 and toured the participating pavilions, including the Saudi Heritage Commission’s pavilion. The pavilion’s representatives gave the Egyptian Prime Minister a presentation on the traditional handicrafts’ activities and products offered by the Saudi artisans.
On this occasion, Madbouly stressed that the exhibition is a significant platform for displaying and marketing creative products related to heritage arts and handicrafts. This, in turn, enhances the chances of their development as they highlight the cultural heritage of the participating countries, the Egyptian Prime Minister added.
The Turathna Expo 2024 is held over an area of 10,000 square meters. It enjoys a wide participation from a large number of countries, entities, institutions and organizations committed to preserving heritage, encouraging entrepreneurship, and empowering youth locally, regionally and internationally.
The Saudi Heritage Commission is responsible for preserving and advancing the Kingdom’s heritage in addition to supporting efforts to develop the heritage sector and encouraging individuals, institutions, and companies to engage with it. The Commission also organizes local and international conferences, exhibitions, events, and competitions and participates in international events to promote Saudi Arabia’s national heritage.
