Saudi Music Commission runs an Online Event Called “Mosicana”
The Music Commission has organized the second virtual meeting of the monthly “Our Music” forum, with the participation of a group of Saudi singers, musicians, and playlists, during which the reality of the Saudi music sector and the aspirations of its employees were reviewed.
The commission stated that the second meeting of our music witnessed the presence of the Deputy Minister of Cultureو Hamid bin Muhammad Fayez, the CEO of the Music Commission Jihad Al-Khalidi, the composer and researcher in the musical affairs, Prince Abdul Majeed bin Saud, the artist Abadi Al-Johar, the opera Sawsan Al-Bahit, the music coach Yahya Musawi, the composer Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dakhil, the oud player Rabban Al-Saqqaf, the director and producer Faisal Al-Yamani
The Deputy Minister of Culture affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to develop the music sector in the Kingdom, citing the Ministry’s steps in this direction, such as the inclusion of music arts education in educational curricula, and the preparation for the launch of musical academies in addition to partnerships with Saudi universities, indicating that these efforts come in the context of the project to develop the sector Saudi Cultural, which is managed by the Ministry.
It is mentioned that the Music Association had held its first meeting of the “Our Music” forum at the end of last May, and decided to keep the forum on a monthly basis, on the last Sunday of every Gregorian month, during which those interested in the music sector with their various specializations will be gathered to present new ideas and initiatives and develop them to serve the goals of the music sector.
