Saudi Tourism Hits Record 122 Million Visitors in 2025, Fueling SR300 Billion Spend
Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector achieved a significant milestone in 2025, welcoming over 122 million domestic and international visitors, according to Gulf News.
Preliminary estimates from the Saudi Ministry of Tourism show that the increase in the number of visitors generated roughly SR300 billion in spending.
The figures also mark a 5% increase in visitor numbers compared with 2024, while overall tourism expenditure grew by 6% year on year.
This surge stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s accelerating momentum as it advances toward its ambitious Vision 2030 objective of welcoming 150 million tourists annually.
The latest figures underscore the sector’s broadening role in the national economy, fueled by sweeping legislative and regulatory reforms, expanding investment flows, as well as a steadily diversifying portfolio of offerings.
From leisure and cultural experiences to nature-based adventures and business tourism, the Kingdom is expanding its appeal, driven by a vibrant calendar of major international events.
The Kingdom’s tourism sector has recently witnessed unparallelled infrastructure and service upgrades, supported by programs designed to facilitate licensing, support investors, and foster visitor experiences.
Efforts to empower local talent and broaden Saudi participation in tourism-related careers have solidified the industry’s long-term resilience.
Meanwhile, the targeted marketing campaigns, both domestic and international, have also opened new avenues to new visitor segments.
