Saudi-Slovenian Business Forum to Convene in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia and Slovenia are set to discuss boosting economic and business ties in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Federation of Saudi Chambers will convene the Saudi-Slovenian Business Forum, with the participation of the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim, and the Slovenian Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Matjaž Han.

More than 60 Slovenian companies are looking forward to participating in the Business Forum, representing 9 vital economic sectors. In addition, a delegation from the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will take part to explore the vast economic opportunities in the mega projects of Vision 2030 and building partnerships with Saudi Arabia’s business sector.

Furthermore, the Saudi-Slovenian Business Forum will highlight the business and investment environment in both Saudi Arabia and Slovenia, most notably the targeted economic sectors, and the available cooperation opportunities for the two countries’ companies. Representative from the government and private sectors from both countries will make presentations to showcase these opportunities.

In October 2024, Alibrahim met with Slovenia’s Minister of Finance, Klemen Boštjančič, in Riyadh, on the sidelines of the FII 8th edition. They discussed investment opportunities in both countries as well as the latest global economic developments of common interest.

In 2023, the Federation of Saudi Chambers organized a Saudi-Slovenian Roundtable Forum in collaboration with the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city. During the Roundtable Forum, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a joint business council.
