The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has signed an agreement with Fincantieri to manage and boost coastal tourism activities in Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The partnership will enable both SRSA and Fincantieri, a pioneering company in the maritime industry, to support the sustainable growth of the coastal tourism sector through various initiatives.
Signed by SRSA CEO Mohammed Al-Nasser and Fincantieri CEO and Managing Director Pierroberto Folgiero, the deal seeks promote coastal tourism and preserve marine ecosystems and natural resources at the same time.
To this end, both entities are committed to ensuring maritime safety and security, improving marina infrastructure, and cooperating on research and innovation in advanced marine technologies.
Importantly, the agreement aligns with SRSA’s mission to protect the marine environment, set standards and regulations for coastal marinas, and leverage international best practices to boost coastal tourism.
In the light of this, the deal stands as a testament to the authority’s dedication to making bold strides through promising partnerships with the public and private sectors at both local and global levels.
Currently, the authority is expanding strategic alliances, sharing expertise, and employing global practices that focus on regenerative tourism and sustainable growth.
Such efforts aim basically to position the Red Sea as a premier international destination that offers exceptional experiences while preserving its untouched environment.
