Saudi Industry Ministry licenses 803 factories worth SAR 21.9 bln from January-October

The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued on Thursday, the monthly bulletin for industry and mining for the month of October 2022.

 

The bulletin sheds light on the most significant figures and indicators for the industrial and mining sectors in the Kingdom. It highlights the volume of changes witnessed by the two industries at the level of newly made and existing investments. It also highlights the rate of change in the size of job opportunities.

 

The ministry said, in a statement, that the number of commercial and industrial licenses issued by the ministry from January 2022 until the end of last October amounted to 803 licenses, with investments amounting to SAR 26.7 billion.

 

It added that 939 factories started production during the same period with investments amounting to SAR 26.7 billion. The industrial sector created 39.37 thousand job opportunities during the same period.

 

The total volume of investments in the industrial sector as of 1st October amounted to SAR 1.374 trillion.

 

Moreover, the total number of factories reached 10.79 thousand, according to the bulletin.

 

The number of mining licenses in force in the sector reached 2,164 at the end of October 2022. This included 1,358 building materials quarry licenses, 565 exploration licenses, 173 mining exploitation licenses, and small mines, 36 reconnaissance licenses, and 32 surplus mineral ores licenses.
