Saudi FM Discusses Palestinian-Israeli Peace at Munich Leaders Meeting in AlUla

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, participated on Thursday in a panel discussion titled “Pathways to Peace between Palestine and Israel” during the Munich Leaders Meeting in AlUla, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Mustafa, joined the session via videoconference, alongside France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot.

The session discussed the latest developments in the Gaza war, including ceasefire efforts and international initiatives in that regard.

It also addressed the recent announcements made by several countries regarding the formal recognition of the State of Palestine, with the aim of advancing the two-state solution and enhancing regional stability.

Moreover, the panel discussion emphasized the importance of implementing all relevant international resolutions, ending the humanitarian suffering, and supporting efforts to deliver humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

The session also discussed the Two-State Solution Conference, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, which culminated in international consensus on the importance of implementing the conference’s declaration which aims to achieve peace and prosperity, as well as resolving the decades-long Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The Munich Leaders Meeting’s session saw the attendance of several Saudi officials and high-profile personalities, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Prince Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, and the Saudi Economy and Planning Minister, Faisal Alibrahim.

Furthermore, the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Walid Al-Khuraiji; the General Director of Policy Planning at the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Rayed Krimly; and the Assistant Director-General of the General Administration for Policy Planning at the Ministry, Prince Abdullah bin Khaled Al Saud, took part in the session.
