Saudi Film Authority organizes the Film Criticism Conference in Riyadh

The Saudi Film Commission is preparing to organize the first edition of the Film Criticism Conference, which will be held next November in Riyadh.

 

The five specialized forums will precede the conference in several cities in Saudi Arabia.

 

It will also bring together specialists and those interested in film criticism and film culture to exchange experiences.

 

Film & Art in a changing world

 

KSA will hold the Film Criticism Conference in Riyadh from November 10 to 12, under the slogan “Film and Art in a Changing World”.

 

the conference will be after a tour of five cities through five initial meetings.

 

Its tours will start in Jeddah from 28 to 29 March under the slogan “Spirituality in Cinema”

The tours will be in partnership with the Jeddah Biennial for Islamic Arts.

It will also host important keynote speakers in the field of criticism,

Additionally, they will discuss and analyze what will enrich the seminars and dialogue sessions.

 

The authority organizes child and family programs, including interactive training workshops.

 

The workshops introduce concepts related to media and cinematic awareness and stimulate reading films critically and objectively.

 

There will be a group of training workshops for beginners and specialists

they are dealing with topics related to film criticism and analytical film culture.

 

The conference and its forums target all individuals interested in the film sector in the Kingdom and abroad, and who specialize in film criticism.

 

It also targets academic bodies concerned with local and international cinematic studies and research and local, regional, and international media outlets concerned with the cinema movement in the Kingdom.
