Saudi embassy in Washington sends a warning message to its citizens

The Kingdom’s embassy in Washington issued an essential hurricane Ida warning to its residents in the United States of America on Monday.

It appealed, through its official account on the social networking site “Twitter”, to citizens to abide by the instructions of the local authorities in this regard.

In the event of an emergency, the embassy urged residents of Louisiana and Mississippi to phone the consulate’s emergency numbers in Houston, and residents of Alabama and Tennessee to call the embassy’s emergency numbers in Washington.

Yesterday, Sunday, US President Joe Biden warned that Hurricane Ida poses a great danger to life.

He pointed to the possibility of massive destruction represented by a power outage for weeks in the US Gulf Coast regions.

Following Hurricane Ida’s impact in Louisiana, the American metropolis of New Orleans has been without power for the previous few hours, relying solely on generators.
