Saudi Crown Prince Welcomes Pilgrims, Reinforces Hajj 2025 Preparations

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman warmly welcomed global pilgrims flocking to the Kingdom for Hajj 2025 during Tuesday’s cabinet meeting in Jeddah. He also directed relevant authorities to work with the highest levels of efficiency and excellence in implementing security, preventive and organizational plans to serve the pilgrim guests.

Infrastructure Overhaul for Enhanced Safety

Saudi authorities are upgrading infrastructure with electric escalators replacing concrete stairs in elevated areas. Expansions at Masjid Al-Haram and improved crowd management systems aim to streamline movement during peak rituals. Environmental efforts include increased greenery at Jabal al-Rahmah to combat heat.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah simplified visa processes, ensuring easier access for businesses supporting pilgrims. All Umrah visitors must depart by 29 April 2025, to avoid delays. Residents require entry permits from 23 April 2025, restricting non-pilgrim access to Makkah.

A high-speed rail network, capable of transporting 300,000 pilgrims daily between Makkah and Madinah, will launch this month. Strict vehicle regulations from 29 April will manage traffic flow and reduce congestion.

Crown Prince’s Vision for Seamless Pilgrimage

The prince reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to excellence in hosting Hajj, leveraging technology and infrastructure to elevate the experience. With preparations nearing completion, authorities aim to ensure a spiritual, safe, and memorable journey for millions.

This proactive approach underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to merging tradition with innovation while safeguarding pilgrim welfare.
