Saudi Consulate in Houston provides housing for citizens affected by Hurricane Ian

The Saudi Consulate in Houston, USA, provided hotel accommodation for citizens who were evacuated from Florida due to Tropical Storm Ian.

 

Housing was provided to those affected in a hotel in Mobile, Alabama.

 

The Consul General in Houston, Shafi Al-Otaibi, visited the citizens at the hotel to check on them, follow up on the services provided to them, and identify their needs.

 

For their part, the citizens expressed their thanks and appreciation to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the care and attention given to its children everywhere.

 

The relevant authorities in the state of Florida had issued orders for the compulsory evacuation of residents from several counties to protect them from the effects of the hurricane.

 

The Consulate had earlier called upon all citizens in the state to be cautious and follow the instructions for dealing with the effects of the storm, and to communicate with it if necessary.
