Saudi Arabia’s leadership empowers women role in society

Ambassador Abdullah Al-Moalami, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, affirmed that the Saudi political would empower Saudi women by integrating them as an effective and main partner at all levels and in various fields.

Ambassador Al-Moualami made the remarks during the annual session of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment’s Executive Council, held between 21 and 23 June 2021.

According to the Saudi Press Agency SPA, Al-Mouallimi said that more decisions and reforms granted the right of women to enhance their rights, status and participation on an equal footing in opportunities and treatment, Saudi men working hand in hand to accelerate the development process.

He said: We have a dynamic, steadfast and creative Saudi political vision that enables its citizens, men and women, to assume their positions, at all levels and in various fields, in conformity with tolerant Islamic legislation, to speed the implementation of the 2030 economic and social agenda without leaving anyone behind.

The success of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in continuing and steadfastly pursuing these development goals at all levels, according to Al-Mouallimi, is worldwide outstanding.

That is achieved with high professionalism and exceptional strength through full, principal and equal participation of the women and men of the nation in the confrontation plans.

He continued: “The delegation of my nation emphasises the need of respecting state sovereignty, legislative frameworks, and religious, social, and cultural circumstances.”

It recommends working, from now on, to develop plans that place the family as a priority and empower women in society.
