Saudi Arabia’s Digital Experience Maturity Soars to 85.04% in 2024: DGA

The Digital Government Authority (DGA) has announced the results of the 2024 Digital Experience Maturity Index, achieving an impressive score of 85.04%, the Saudi Press Agency “SPA” reported. This marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Digital Platforms

In 2024, the DGA evaluated 39 digital platforms, a significant increase from 24 platforms in 2023. The assessment was based on four main perspectives and 20 key themes. These perspectives included:

User Satisfaction: Over 175,000 beneficiaries participated in assessing their digital experiences.

User Experience: The platforms were thoroughly evaluated for usability and functionality.

Complaint Handling: The effectiveness of each platform in addressing user complaints was measured.

Digital Technologies: The assessment also covered the tools and technologies that empower these platforms.

Strategic Goals and Achievements

DGA Governor Ahmed Alsuwaiyan emphasized that the index aims to boost user satisfaction and enhance digital experiences. The index aligns with international standards and best practices. The goal is to improve Saudi Arabia’s global rankings and accelerate the digital transformation process.

Alsuwaiyan highlighted that the continuous rise in index scores reflects the hard work of Saudi government agencies. Their efforts in developing digital platforms are improving the quality of life, simplifying business, enhancing competitiveness, and achieving greater efficiency in government operations. These efforts receive strong support from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Notable Improvements and Detailed Results

The index rose by 4.36% compared to the previous cycle, reflecting significant progress. In 2024, the number of participants in the evaluation also increased to over 175,000, up from 134,000 in the previous year.

The top ten digital platforms all achieved advanced levels, with the following scores:

Tawakkalna: 91.29%

General Organization for Social Insurance: 91.18%

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority: 90.42%

Absher: 90.39%

Ehsan: 90.27%

Etimad: 90.21%

Musaned: 87.28%

Qiwa: 87.18%

Visit Saudi: 86.21%

Najiz: 86.09%

Future Plans

The DGA has refined the methodology for the 2024 Digital Experience Maturity Index. This revision includes a review and improvement of the main perspectives, key themes, and evaluation criteria. The goal is to gradually increase the number of platforms included in each evaluation cycle, ensuring continuous improvement in digital services across the kingdom.
