Saudi Arabia Urges Immediate Action to End Israeli Crimes in Gaza

Saudi Arabia has voiced strong condemnation of Israel’s ground operation in Gaza City, warning of the dangerous consequences of Israeli actions in the Strip, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In a statement on Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that the Kingdom condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli troops’ incursions into the Gaza Strip and their continued crimes against the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, the statement noted that these crimes, which violate international law and humanitarian law, persist due to the international community’s failure to take effective measures to end them.

Saudi Arabia also warned of the dangerous consequences of the ongoing brutal Israeli campaign against Gaza and its people, urging the permanent members of the UN Security Council to take immediate actions to halt the ongoing killing, starvation, and displacement of the Palestinians.

Moreover, the Kingdom called for the firm implementation of all relevant international resolutions against the Israeli authorities to save innocent lives in Gaza and ensure an immediate end to all forms of genocide and forced displacement.

On Tuesday, Israel announced the beginning of a ground offensive to occupy Gaza City, following a week of intensified airstrikes and the destruction of high-rise towers in the enclave’s largest city.

Also on Tuesday, an independent inquiry, commissioned by the UN Human Rights Council, concluded that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza and that top Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have incited these acts.

According to the report, Israel has committed four out of five genocidal acts, which are “killing, causing serious bodily and mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the destruction of the Palestinians, and imposing measures intended to prevent births.”
