Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense has officially received the flag of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers to host the 2025 Championship.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Sport, the Kingdom will host the 2025 Fire and Rescue World Championship in Riyadh following the 2024 edition held in China.
The handover ceremony highlighted the attendance of Director General of Civil Defense Major General Dr. Hamoud bin Sulaiman Al-Faraj and senior officials from the Ministry of Sport.
Established in 2001, the federation includes 32 member countries and held more than 15 world championships.
Crucially, the competitions include tower climbing, 400m relays, 100m sprints, and firefighting events.
