Saudi Arabia to begin vaccinating 12-18 years old age group
The Saudi Ministry of Health announced a new phase of the national campaign for the coronavirus vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine will be given to the age group 12-18 years old.
The Food and Drug Authority approved the completion of all scientific studies that confirmed the effectiveness and results of the vaccine for that category.
The Ministry indicated that the step comes as a continuation of its efforts to expand the vaccine administration after vaccinating 70% of the adult population in Saudi Arabia.
According to priority categories, the KSA began giving the second dose to those over 50 years old, and the age will go down continuously in providing the second dose.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the national campaign for the Corona vaccine is going as planned, as 17,255,254 doses have been given to citizens and residents through more than 587 centres in various regions of the Kingdom.
