Saudi Arabia has reached a significant milestone in its ambitious Vision 2030 initiative. The Kingdom has achieved its goal of one million annual volunteers, a full six years ahead of schedule. Ahmed Al-Suwailem, CEO of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, announced this achievement during COP16, highlighting its significance. He called the achievement a pivotal step in the Kingdom’s transformational journey, underscoring the importance of community engagement.
A Leadership and Collaboration Propel Success
Al-Suwailem credited King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support, enabling this historic achievement. “Thanks to their visionary leadership, we’ve exceeded expectations and met our goal before the end of 2024,” he said.
The initial goal, set for 2030, reflects Saudi Arabia’s strategic push to redefine community participation and achieve broader societal objectives. The Kingdom now plans to establish new goals for creating even greater impact by 2030.

This milestone results from strong collaboration among government, private entities, nonprofit organizations, and citizens. Al-Suwailem praised public involvement, emphasizing that Saudis contribute locally and globally, showcasing the Kingdom’s commitment to global citizenship.
