Riyadh to host the 25th meeting of GCC ministers next Thursday
The city of Riyadh will host next Thursday the 25th meeting of Their Excellences the Ministers Concerned with Municipal Affairs in the GCC, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
The meetings come within the framework of the continuous efforts to achieve the goals on which the GCC was established, to enhance the efforts of the Gulf municipal sectors, and to raise the efficiency and quality of services provided to citizens and guests of the Gulf countries.
The leaders of the municipal sector in the countries of the GCC will discuss the implementation of the initiatives related to the joint Gulf municipal work strategy during 2021, the completion of its initiatives, the exchange of the best experiences in the field of investment opportunities in municipal assets and revenue development plans. The adoption of a guide to inventory the modern technical methods used in supervisory applications will be discussed, in addition to establishing the Gulf Municipal Week, and launching the Gulf Building Code.
It is scheduled to hold preparatory meetings for the coordination and technical committees concerned with municipal affairs, in addition to organizing some field visits to view the most notable completed projects.
