Riyadh hosts the first meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee Working Group

The first meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi working group charged with following up on the recommendations provided by the Egyptian-Saudi joint committee’s 17th session began this morning in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Nevin Gamea, Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry, and Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Trade and Information, will lead the meeting.

Participants will include Egyptian and Saudi officials from several ministries involved in areas of bilateral cooperation.

Meetings of the joint working group, led by Ibrahim Al-Sigini, Assistant Minister for Economic Affairs, at the level of specialists and senior officials, began the proceedings.

The discussions, according to Ibrahim El-Sigini, Assistant Minister for Economic Affairs and head of the Egyptian working group, focused on following up on the recommendations given by the 17th session, which was held by Cairo in June.

Strengthening mutual collaboration in the economic, social, cultural, and artistic spheres, as well as other common interests, were among the themes discussed at the sessions.
