Riyadh Governor inaugurates two lounges at King Khalid Airport to receive World Cup fans
The (Prince) Governor of the Riyadh region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, inaugurated on Monday Terminals 3 and 4 at King Khalid International Airport. This was done to facilitate the entry of World Cup fans into Saudi territory.
During the inauguration, Prince Faisal bin Bandar said that this initiative reflects the tangible giving of the country to its children. He noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman view these achievements with appreciation and consideration.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Saleh Al-Jasser, stated that the Kingdom aims to turn into a global logistics center, relying on strong infrastructure and investments amounting to one billion Saudi riyals in the maritime and air sectors.
He added that the newly built halls were equipped to serve fans in various regions of the Kingdom, in addition to equipping the border port and the roads connecting to it with high equipment, and facilitating free frequent flights from the Al-Ahsa region to the border with the State of Qatar.
