Ramadan Season 2025: Jeddah Historic District Receives 1mn Visitors in First Week
The Jeddah Historic District has received a remarkable turnout of 1 million visitors during the first week of Ramadan Season 2025, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Ramadan Season, organized by the Jeddah Historic District Program, under the Saudi Ministry of Culture, is one of the Kingdom’s most prominent events to celebrate the holy month. It revives authentic Ramadan traditions and fosters the national identity through an array of events throughout Ramadan.
Ramadan Season 2025 immerses visitors in an unparalleled experience that combines culture, arts, traditional markets, and traditional dishes. Furthermore, it involves tours of historical buildings to explore the ancient architectural heritage, as well as the traditional markets which display local products and heritage cuisine.
Ramadan Season 2025 also includes workshops, such as Arabic calligraphy and pottery, and family-friendly events to foster the younger generations’ connection to Saudi Arabia’s culture and heritage.
In addition to being a tourist and cultural destination, Ramadan Season 2025 plays a key role in driving local economic growth, by providing a platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to display their products. Thus, it supports small and medium enterprises and enhances economic sustainability.
To ensure a safe and organized experience, the Jeddah Historic District Program has enhanced the district’s infrastructure and equipped it with advanced monitoring systems and security teams. It also launched a digital guide to provide visitors with all information about Ramadan Season’s events.
The success of Ramadan Season 2025 aligns with the Kingdom’s efforts to transform Jeddah Historic District into a global cultural and tourist destination, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s cultural and heritage identity, and develop the tourism and culture sectors.
