Prince Turki bin Talal Launches Ajaweed Initiative’s 2nd Edition
Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir region, announced the launch of the “Ajaweed” initiative’s second edition. This eagerly awaited initiative is set to commence at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. It promises to be a comprehensive Ramadan competition. It invites participation from every segment of the Asir region’s society.

The “Ajaweed2” initiative perfectly aligns with the strategic vision of the Asir region, with a keen focus on nurturing the “human” aspect. It aims to bolster the sense of community and enrich societal values. By doing so, it also encourages the community’s active involvement in the developmental process. The Ajaweed Initiative introduces four distinct pathways designed to foster positive changes in human life:
- Giving: This pathway is dedicated to philanthropy, the care and upkeep of mosques, and the promotion of unity and empowerment. It also focuses on providing opportunities, aiding those in need, and offering support to the ill.
- Awareness: By leveraging knowledge, this pathway seeks to open doors to greater awareness. It emphasizes educational programs on various media platforms. Additionally, it promotes engaging in meaningful social activities through cultural and literary competitions.
- Strength: Aimed at enhancing physical health, this pathway includes medical consultations, health campaign organization, and the promotion of physical activities like football leagues.
- Excellence: This pathway concentrates on the governance of humanitarian efforts, ensuring their effectiveness and impact.
Inviting Participation, Offering Rewards
The Asir Development Authority has extended an open invitation for all community segments to participate in this commendable initiative. Furthermore, the Ajaweed Initiative stipulates that all projects should align with its established pathways.
In an exciting development, the top ten winners of the competition will receive substantial cash prizes. Rewards start from 100,000 SAR for the first-place winner, extending down to 10,000 SAR for winners in each specific pathway.
Ajaweed Initiative not only fosters community spirit and social responsibility but also promotes a culture of excellence and awareness.
