Prince Faisal Inaugurates Al-Jouf Olive Festival
Today, Prince Faisal bin Nawaf , Emir of Al-Jouf region, confirmed the region’s excellence in producing olive oil during the 17th Al-Jawf International Olive Festival, in Sakaka.
Al-Jouf region prince said that studies and research are continuing in several areas in order to develop the olive product.
Al-Jouf Olive Festival
The sales of the 16th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival in Saudi Arabia has exceeded 662 thousand riyals, as they sold 10 tons of olives and 65 thousand liters of oil. Olive tree farming is a profitable endeavor that encourages investment in support of Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of achieving food security.
The International Olive Festival in Al-Jouf is considered one of the largest and most successful festivals in the Kingdom.
Festival Agenda
His Highness toured the olive oil hall and had meetings with the farmers who were taking part in the festival’s olive oil hall. In addition, he met all the participating international and local presenters.
As a result of the outstanding efforts done there, the presenters expressed their satisfaction at the event, which offers them excellent opportunity to sell their products.
Engineer Al-Sharaan clarified that the current iteration of the Al-Jouf International Olive Festival runs for ten days.
The festival covers several areas, including the Sakrir Oliva area, the Oliva Garden, the Olive House area, the Olive Kitchen, the Children’s Academy, the theater and others.
The festival will also include many seminars and workshops presented by a number of specialists in this field. Furthermore, the festival stage will feature the revival of singing and chanting concerts presented by many stars.
It is noteworthy that Spain, Italy, Greece, Tunisia, Turkey and Jordan are participating in this edition.
