The Palestine national team has secured a spot in the Round of 16 of the Asian Cup. This remarkable achievement came after a decisive 3-0 victory over the Hong Kong national team.
The match, held at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, marked the culmination of the third and final round of Group 3 matches in the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.

The Palestinian team took an early lead, with Oday Dabbagh opening the scoring just 12 minutes into the game. As the second half commenced, Zaid Qunbar further solidified Palestine’s lead by netting the second goal in the 48th minute.
Dabbagh then returned to score his second goal and the third for his team at the 60th-minute mark.

In a dramatic moment during injury time (90+8 minutes), Hong Kong had a chance to narrow the scoreline. However, Camargo failed to convert a penalty kick, leaving Hong Kong without any points in the tournament.

Iran leads Group 3 with a perfect score of 9 points. Palestine and the United Arab Emirates follow with 4 points each.
