One of the separated conjoined Yemeni twins dies

Saudi surgical team announced that one of the Yemeni-sided twins who are attached to the head died on the second day of the separation operation

The death was the result of a severe drop in blood circulation and cardiac arrest, despite the full medical care provided to him by the treating medical team

 The surgical team had faced great difficulties and challenges during the operation to separate the twins, which made the condition of one of them critical after the operation.

They said the second twin’s status is stable and that all of his vital signs are normal.

 The survival twin is still under supervision in the ICU of King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in Riyadh.

The medical team condoles the parents of the twins, asking Allah to inspire them with patience and solace.
