The US company Google has warned users of old Android phones that their devices may not be secure in the extended period.
According to Engadget’s specialized technical website, the company stressed that it would not be able to provide security support or secure websites for these old android phones gradually during 2021 and permanently remove the support in September 2021.
It is explained that users of old android phones starting with the “Android 7.1.1” operating system or older versions might have to upgrade their phones before the specified date.
For his part, many experts proposed an alternative and described it as good if the person did not want to upgrade his phone. The alternative is to install the “Mozilla Firefox” browser, which supports safe browsing technologies and safe websites on these devices.
