Merck Opens Regional Office in Riyadh

Merck, a leading company in the fields of science, technology, and medicine, announced the opening of its new regional office in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, affirming its long-term commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reported Alriyadh.

Why Riyadh?

Merck chose Riyadh to be its regional headquarters for the Middle East and North Africa, considering Riyadh as the economic powerhouse of the Kingdom and a leading center for investments in the Middle East.

Additionally, Merck established “Merck Limited Company” in Saudi Arabia as a commercial entity. This marked a significant milestone in its commitment to the Saudi market. This move aligns with its strategy towards the Kingdom in line with Vision 2030 and allows it to offer its extensive expertise and innovative solutions to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Saudi citizens and residents.

Moreover, NOV Inc officially announced the opening of its regional headquarters in Dammam Asharqia Chamber Tower, Saudi Arabia, reported Maaal. The company’s new headquarters will serve as a pivotal center for its operations in the Middle East.

Given its strategic location, the tower is the ideal new home for the company in the ME. This step underscores NOV Inc’s commitment to the region, providing its services to customers.

What is NOV Inc?

The Texas-based corporation provides equipment used in oil and gas drilling and production. Moreover, its services exceeds providing tools to include oilfield services and supply chain integration services to oil and gas industry.

“The decision by NOV to set up a regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia is testament to the world-class infrastructure and human capital in the Kingdom and its role as a leading international energy hub,” said Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, as reported by Maaal.

“Eastern Province is an ideal location for NOV’s regional headquarters due to its strategic positioning within MENA, its substantial presence in Oil and Gas operations, and its thriving business environment,” commented CEO of NOV Clay Williams.
