KSrelief Provides Medical Services to 2,749 Refugees in Zaatari Camp

The clinics of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief ) provided medical services for 2,749 medical cases in the Zaatari Syrian refugee camp in Jordan, during the third week of October 2024.

The general medicine clinics received 594 patients who were seen and were given the necessary medications, the internal medicine clinic saw 171 patients with diabetes, hypertension and asthma, the pediatric clinic saw 331 children, while the emergency department received 297 patients, and 137 patients visited the dental clinic.

207 women were also received at the women’s clinic, while 52 patients visited the ENT clinic suffering from sinus infections, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and middle ear infections. The ophthalmology clinic received 56 patients and provided them with the necessary medications. Additionally, the cardiology clinic attended to 24 patients, and 21 patients were seen at the rehabilitation medicine clinic.

Moreover, 3,250 laboratory tests were conducted for 343 patients, and 145 X-rays were performed for 91 patients. Additionally, 192 vaccines were administered at the immunization clinic to 73 patients. Medications for chronic diseases were dispensed to 268 patients, while the health education department served 60 beneficiaries. The physical therapy department saw 24 patients, and the pharmacy registered a total of 1,480 prescriptions.
