KSrelief Distributes 1,020 Shelter Bags in Pakistan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 1,020 shelter bags in Balochistan province in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, benefiting 7,140 members of the most needy families in the areas affected by the floods. This is part of the third phase of a project to distribute shelter materials and winter bags in Pakistan for the year 2024.

Two weeks ago, KSrelief distributed 1,367 shelter bags in the areas of Swat, Lower Chitral, and Dera Ismail Khan, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The bags benefited 9,569 individuals of the most vulnerable families in the areas affected by the floods.

Last March, the center delivered 100 tons of dates to Pakistan. During the ceremony, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki took the opportunity to shed light on the Kingdom’s humanitarian endeavors. He outlined the pivotal role played by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in extending aid worldwide.

Brigadier Obaidullah Anwar, representing the Pakistani government, expressed deep appreciation for the generous gift. He remarked on the gesture’s significance, highlighting the strong bond of brotherhood that exists between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Last February, Saudi Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi announced an ambitious goal to increase trade volume between both countries to reach a staggering $20 billion. This was announced during the Saudi-Pakistani Forum (Feb. 22), organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

As part of this initiative, both countries are exploring new avenues for collaboration. The focus is on diversifying the trade portfolio, which has traditionally been centered around oil. The new strategy aims to include sectors like technology and manufacturing.
