KSA to organize the World Defense Exhibition for the first time

General Authority for Military Industries in Saudi Arabia will organize the International Defense Exhibition next March, for the first time.

The exhibition is considered the leading global event in the fields of security and defense and is being held for the first time in the Kingdom, according to (SPA).

The exhibition enjoys complimentary support from the relevant ministries and authorities in the Kingdom, and the strategic authorities in the government and private sectors in the Kingdom participate in it.

More than 800 models

In addition, the first edition of the exhibition will be organized on premises specially equipped for this event and extends over an area of ​​approximately 800,000 square meters.

The exhibition brings together more than 800 exhibitors; including 100 local companies specialized in the defense and security sector, as well as senior officials and military delegations from around the world.

It is the first global platform for operational compatibility in the security and defense industry, as it showcases the latest technologies in the fields of land, sea, air, space, and information security.

It is also a specialized event to showcase and demonstrate the capabilities of integrated and innovative defense solutions and is planned to be a global platform for operational interoperability in the defense industry.

Arab and international presence

The exhibition is held once every two years, starting with the first edition, which is scheduled to be held in the capital, Riyadh, in March of 2022, to shed light on the latest developments in operational compatibility in defense solutions.

The event will witness the presence of the most prominent leading figures from the Kingdom, delegations from international bodies, and the most prominent decision-makers in the defense industry from all over the world.

It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Military Industries, founder of the World Defense Exhibition, is the authority responsible for regulating, enabling, and licensing military industries in the Kingdom.

The authority is concerned with developing the local defense industry in line with the Kingdom’s commitment to Vision 2030 and plans to localize 50% of the military industry by 2030.
