Al-Urubah Park: Step Towards Sustainability
Al-Urubah Park aims to improve the standard of living by offering areas for leisure and recreation to both residents and visitors, aiding in Riyadh’s transformation into one of the globe’s most sustainable cities.
This project is a key component of the Green Riyadh Project, an incredibly ambitious initiative for urban afforestation, aiming to plant 7.5 million trees and increase the green cover to 9 percent of Riyadh.
The park will boast a panoramic path stretching 3 kilometers and a viewpoint that allows people to watch the city’s landmarks. It will showcase over 600,000 trees and bushes, occupying 65 percent of the park’s landscape. Additionally, the park will provide sports facilities for various age groups.
Al-Urubah Park Offers Augmented Reality Experience
Incorporating cutting-edge technologies, the park’s design will present natural elements, creating an immersive augmented reality experience for visitors.
Chosen from a variety of proposals by six competitors, the park’s distinctive garden design meets international standards and achieves sustainability.
The Green Riyadh Project aims to enhance greenery in residential areas, public gardens, mosques, schools, government buildings, and parking lots. Moreover, a water network spanning approximately 1,350 kilometers is being created.
