IsDB Group Commemorates Golden Jubilee Celebration

Under the auspices of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group’s 2024 Annual Meetings take place in Riyadh April 27-30, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The event involves the Bank’s Golden Jubilee Celebration to commemorate 50 years of strenuous efforts to bolster sustainable socio-economic development in member countries and beyond.

On behalf of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province will attend the celebration that comes under the theme “Cherishing our Past, Charting our Future: Originality, Solidarity, and Prosperity”.

The Saudi Minister of Finance and Chairman of IsDB Group’s Board of Governors Mohammed Aljadaan, commented on the pivotal role of the annual meetings in discussing ways to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development in Islamic member nations.

Highlighting the progress achieved by the Kingdom in hosting international conferences, Aljadaan added that Saudi Arabia became one of the pioneering nations in sponsoring global events. He noted that the Kingdom will continue to extensively support the development programs to achieve a more prosperous future for the region and the entire world.

On his part, Chairman of the IsDB Group Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser praised the relationship between the Kingdom and IsDB Group, describing it as a groundbreaking partnership. Al Jasser confirmed that this partnership set the stage for the bank to benefit from the Kingdom’s resources and expertise in exploring new avenues for sustainable growth in several member nations.

The IsDB Group’s annual meetings will include the Governors’ Plenary Session and the Governors’ Roundtable Meeting to discuss the Islamic nations’ most pressing economic challenges and future opportunities. The gathering will also cover a vast array of seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and other events that concentrate on fostering socio-economic development and enhancing regional and international collaboration.
