The French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, said that France has strong economic relations with Saudi Arabia, which are bilateral and based on trust. Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, visited France recently. The Crown Prince and French President Emmanuel Macron decided to strengthen bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France.
Le Maire added that he had recently visited Riyadh to discuss all sectors in which cooperation can be strengthened, such as the energy sector, for example.
The minister spoke about some of the challenges, saying: “We know that we are facing some challenges regarding climate change. It is necessary to strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia in terms of renewable energy and hydrogen.”
There is also cooperation in other sectors, such as the transportation sector and other industries. Saudi Crown Prince and Macron are expected to exchange bilateral visits, which will reinforce future economic ties between the two countries, according to Le Marie
The French Minister of Economy stressed the need to increase the investments of Saudi companies in France. He added that Saudi investments are very welcome in France, because France is the most attractive country for foreign investment in Europe, thanks to its financial stability.
