The 7th anniversary of King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s ascension to the throne coincides with the Saudi Kingdom’s and UAE’s extension of their alliance to new heights.
Today, January 23, 2015, marks seven years since King Salman gained power and sworn allegiance to King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This year’s pledge of loyalty anniversary falls during “Exhibition 2020 Dubai,” the first international expo to be staged in the Arab world and the world’s largest cultural event.
The Saudi leadership praised the success of the Expo, and announced the submission of an official request to host Expo 2030,
The UAE’s leadership responded quickly to the Kingdom’s proposal, stating that it would be willing to share its experience earned during the preparations for Expo 2020 Dubai.
The anniversary of the pledge of allegiance also comes days after the Kingdom hosted, last October 25, a summit (Green Middle East Initiative), with prominent participation and great support from the Emirates.
Expo 2020 Dubai, which will be held in the UAE for six months, will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the two countries’ brotherly relations.
Saudi Arabia is participating in the Dubai Expo with a pavilion of 13,000 square meters, which is the second largest after the UAE pavilion.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised the success of Expo 2020 that reflects the development and prosperity of the UAE.
