Eid Al Fitr Vacation in Saudi Arabia for Students, Teachers Starts Thursday
Thursday marks the beginning of 17-day Eid Al Fitr vacation in Saudi Arabia for all students and teachers, lasting until April 15, 2024.
Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is going to start around April 10, which means that the Eid Al Fitr vacation in Saudi Arabia will encompass the last two weeks of Ramadan and the week of Eid Al Fitr.
As for employees, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that employees will have a four-day vacation in April during Eid Al Fitr.
Ramadan is the holiest month for Muslims during which they do not eat or drink from sunrise till sunset.
The first day of Eid starts with special morning prayers followed by family visits. Muslims also bake special type of cookies covered with sugar powder that they get to enjoy with their family on Eid morning. One of the most important traditions for children is buying new outfits to wear during the three days of Eid.
